Bottom Time E-Mail News Archives

                January 10, 2011

Winter is definitely upon us and it is only going to get colder through next week.  The lakes have been flooding on top if the ice bad with all the snow cover and the ice thickness has not been consistent on the area lakes.  Tri-State Diving's crew has been busy so far this month. They removed a snowmobile on Rush Lake on Jan. 2 nd , 2 snowmobiles and a portable fish house in 18 feet of water on Lake Melissa on Jan. 3 rd .  Jan 7 the crew traveled to Big Pine to recover a pickup that went through the ice. All were recovered from river channels. Those working on the jobs were Chris Lee , Ryan Sandvig , Ryan Tangen , and Doyle Leitheiser . Here is a link to the Big Pine recovery, hope you can download them. https://cid-942b0079d33d8a4e.photos.live.com/play.aspx/Chevy%20truck?Bsrc=Photomail&Bpub=SDX.Photos

It looks like we will try and do an ice dive towards the end of March and I will post a date when we get closer to know what lake will work out best for weather and access conditions.

We are having a sale on spear guns through the end of Jan. at 15% off.
