                           October 15, 2010

The dates have been finalized for the Cozumel trip.  We will leave on Jan. 17 and return on Jan. 24 th .  This is a Monday to Monday trip and we will be flying on Sun Country out of Mpls. direct flight to Cozumel and back.  We are able to save quite a bit on the price of the plane ticket by going on Monday and still being able to get a direct flight.  If you book now the trip will be around $1600.00 dollars depending on the price of the airline ticket.  For those that have made a deposit I need to get a bigger balance to get your ticket and will need your information to purchase your ticket.  There are no longer charters going to Cozumel so I can no longer purchase tickets without the name of the person using the ticket when the booking is being done.  Here again the price of the ticket can vary from day to day and will usually go up the closer to the time of departure.  The trip price includes flight to and from Cozumel , lodging, meals, five days of two tank diving, unlimited shore diving, and a trip video.  Not included: tips, beverages, transportation to resort and back to airport (usually about $15.00 total) and park fee (about $12.00).  The resort is about a 10 minute walk from downtown and there is a shopping mall about a 5 minute walk.  Once you are signed up for the trip there will be emails sent to those that are going to help you with the details on what you need and not need to bring along.  Foremost you will need a passport and if you do not have one the process needs to be started immediately as you can not travel internationally without one.  There are still openings and we would like to have you on the trip.  It seems that every time we do a trip, divers wait until the last minute to sign up only to find out that the trip is full.  Please if you have any questions give me a call and I will give you more information.  I would like to have the trip filled by the end of October as we are not far away from the trip date.  (Think 30 below and you are in 80 degree water and air temp.)    Where would you rather be in January?  It is eight days of great fun.

I can not believe how warm it has been and how the lakes have been so warm for this time of the year.  We did checkout dives last Sat. and Sun. and it was nicer than on most days diving summer a year ago.

I hope you got to see the PBS show that aired about logging at the turn of the century in our area.  I will try and find out when they will run it again and let every one know.  If you got to see it I would like to hear your comments on it.
