Bottom Time E-Mail News Archives
April 29, 2010
As I write this email newsletter it is raining out side. We need the rain and the lakes seem to be up at good levels. Lake temperatures have not changed much with 55 degrees being the average in shallow water areas. I have not heard any reports on visibility so if you are out there diving let us know how the lakes you are diving are doing.
Next Monday is the start of our Detroit Lakes class and we still have room for more students. At this point we will not be raising the price of the class fees. There have been quite a few signing up for the Advanced Class and if you are unable to take the May class we will have classes coming up throughout the summer.
The date for the Spear Fishing class classroom will be June 1 here at the dive center. This is a fun class and we will get into types of guns, what is legal to hunt, and do some practice target shooting during the open water dive. If we get enough interest we will host a contest for the largest amount of fish speared and the largest fish.
May 22 will be our Super Spring Scuba Sale, watch for more details. We will have discounts on equipment and some door prizes for those attending.
I would like to see those of you receiving this newsletter to make a comment to make at least three dives this summer. Great if you can make more but doing at least three dive outings will help to maintain your diving skills and this is only one outing per month.
We hope to highlight a different diver in every issue so send us your bio and we will put you in the newsletter. We are always looking for ways to make diving more interesting so let us know if you have any ideas.
We have a number of models of masks on closeout for reduced prices. We still have rental Force Fins for sale at reduced prices.
