Edition 2

Sport shows are starting this month and we will be at the Red River Sportsman show the last weekend of February and at the Shooting Star show in March.  The 23 of Feb. is the Dive into the Past show in Mounds View and they have some great programs one of which is the US Navy divers working on the I 35 bridge last summer.  To see more about the show go to www.glsps.org .

Our first class starts at Naytahwaush on Feb. 26 th so let me know if you are interested in taking a class there.

Tri-State Diving's crew was on Rainy Lake last week removing a 1 ton diesel pickup with a boss plow from 28 feet of water. This was the hardest job to date due to the fact that there was a plow on the pickup.  The pickup belonged to Rainy Lake Marina.  We went up on Thursday night with the intent to be up early on Friday morning and be back home by Friday night.  Well things did not work out that way and we had to stay over and finish the job on Saturday. Go to www.youtube.com and in the search window type in Rainy Lake plow truck and you can see what the pickup looked like sitting on the bottom and this is the first time we have seen what the job was before we even got there.  There are also 2 videos showing us recovering the vehicle.

We are selling a couple of our demo Ocean Reef Full Face masks at reduced price with training.

We hope to do an ice dive sometime in March weather permitting.

The group that went to Cozumel had a great time and everyone got to see turtles, seahorses, and pipefish.  The reefs seem to be getting better after the hurricane and they have started a new artificial reef out in front of Scuba Club.  Five of the group went to the mainland and dove in a cenote.

We have had great interest on our liveaboard trip next winter.
