We are a week from Thanksgiving and all the lakes and ponds in our area have no ice on them. Darkhouse spearfishing started last Saturday in Minnesota and it looks like it will be quite awhile before the fishermen will be able to put their fishing houses out on the ice on our area lakes.
There are still some divers enjoying the diving with all the warm weather we have been having. If you still want to get that last dive in before the ice is on the lakes we are diving this Friday and Saturday and you are welcome to go along.
Christmas is not that far off so keep that diving friend in mind when it comes to buying gifts. We do have gift certificates if you are not sure what they might need. We will have many items marked down for the Christmas season. Divers always need accessories (dive light, dive knife, gloves, goodie bag, dive watch, spear gun, and signaling devices to name a few) and they make good stocking stuffers
If you are planning on going to a warm place this winter and need help setting up the diving part we have many dive operations to pick from to make sure you have a safe diving experience.
We are waiting for the new catalogs to come out from our manufactures to see if there will be anything new and exciting that we have not seen in diving before.
A diver who has not dived in years brought in one of the first dive computers from the early seventies called an Automatic Decompression Computer. It was one of the first "dive computers", made by SOS of Italy in the early 1970's. This one is complete, with the original wrist strap, box and instruction manual. These meters were marketed by Scubapro, Healthways, and a dozen other European manufacturers.
We also have about 6 vintage double hose regulators that have been added to our collection and more vintage diving books in our collection as well. When you stop in take a look at them.
