Edition 3
I am writing this while we are suppose to be getting about 10 inches of snow. Hopefully it will be our last storm of the season and it will melt fast. We had good weather for the Fargo dome show this year and did not have to come back to Detroit Lakes in a snow storm. It was good to see all of you including all of you that tried scuba and those that stopped by the booth. There were 92 people that tried scuba this year and I would like to thank the crew that helped. Karl Biederman, Larry Olson, Doyle Leitheiser, Pat Bettels, Ryan Sandvig, Cody Sandvig, Andy Fernett, Ricky Rasmussen, Tracy Granger and Mike LeMoine did an excellent job working with those that wanted to try scuba. We had people of all ages in the pool and everyone came out with a smile on their face. We showed the Dirty Jobs show all weekend and got a lot of good responses on the show.
Our first scuba class will start March 23 in Detroit Lakes and other classes starting in Fergus Falls on April 7 and West Fargo on April 17. We still have room in all the spring classes so give us a call and sign for a class in your area. We will be setting up our advanced classes and we would like to see more divers take advanced scuba education.
We are closing out our Sherwood Magnum EX masks for $49.00, they retail for $70.00. We sold quite a few at the show. We have one Ikelite Auto 35 underwater camera with housing and book that we are closing out for $80.00 and it retails for $165.00 which is more than half off. This is a very good setup and shoots excellent pictures. We also have an Ocean Reef NIRA full face mask with Comm. system and training for $725.00, new it is about $1,400 dollars. The owner got out of diving and took very good care of it.
We have added a new product to our scuba line, the Surf-fur. The Surf-fur is a water-resistant, breathable, reversible and light-weight cover-up coat. Wear it before you go into the water to heat-up or in-between dives for protection and warmth. Wear if after being in the water to help restore your body temperature. Wrap your body in the Surf-fur, snap it closed and change under it. Using the patented Zen Changing Pockets, easily slide your hands through to put on your clothes. No more flashing incidents at the beach. Reverse it to the dry side and put it back on to keep warming up. No time to change? Wrap the Surf-fur around the body with the wet suit still on, jump in the car and drive home to a hot shower. Water resistant fabric keeps car seats protected. It is made with a bonded polyester fleece that wicks moisture into the fibers and away from your body, yet does not penetrate the reversible side. The fabric's fine pores allow for quick drying. Stop in and try one on.
Our Super Spring Scuba Sale will be sometime in May. We will post the date in the near future. Hopefully the big medallion will be found this year. We have done everything to help you find it except putting a surface marker on it.
